The Rico Blues Combo was founded in 1996 by Riccardo Migliarini (vocals, harmonica) and Maurizio Pugno (guitar) after having spent 12 years together playing electric blues and R&B, and after an acoustic interlude undertaken in 1995. With the addition of Mirco Capecci on bass and Giuliano Bei on drums, the artistic journey was immediately enriched with recognition with the release of their first album "White Whiskey", awarded by the specialized press as the best Italian blues CD of 1997.
"Sleepy Town", released in 1999, marked the beginning of the band's musical direction together with the release of the third CD, "Live at Murphy's (2002), and the consequent participation in major European festivals and collaborations with international artists (Sugar Ray Norcia, Dave Specter, Matt Leddy, Mike Turk, Ian Paice, Sax Gordon, Andy Martin). In 2005 the band published the album "House Of Blue Rags", featuring Sugar Ray Norcia, Mike Turk, Matt Leddy, Alberto Marsico, Davide Dal Pozzolo and Mauro Ferrarese.
