Native Memphian and Ghost Town Blues Band front man, Matt Isbell, has been a staple in the roots/blues scene since 1995. With songwriting and production credits on more than 30 albums, Isbell’s collaborations with other artists have played a large roll in shaping his sound. Isbell is known for making and playing his unique homemade instruments from hubcaps and his granny’s silverware chest to bottleneck slides and what he calls his “Electric-Analog Broomstick.” Living Blues Magazine described Isbell’s band as “21st century blues at its best,” and the band proved them right by earning 2nd place at this year’s International Blues Challenge.

Whether he’s with his 6-piece band or solo with just a cigar box guitar and harmonica, this year, Isbell is enjoying club and festival performances and workshops from the Florida Keys to Toronto, Canada and all stops in-between.
