North East blues rock band Two Blue began when founding member Ian Robinson was online seeking out musicians to form a new band and came across a guitarist named Michael Grant, after a few chats through emails they later decided to meet up for a jam session for their love of blues music at one of their local rehearsal rooms. Both members had unique blues guitar styles and a lot of the same music in common so they decided to form a band seeking out more musicians to hit their local bars and clubs to perform at.

After many failed attempts to find the right members with the style they were looking for they decided to remain as a duo and then came up with the name Two Blue. The duo soon got their first booking with a weekly slot at one of their local italian restaurants playing in the cocktail bar section of the venue, shortly after the duo started getting a lot more bookings and performing at a lot of modern venues playing old fashioned blues music and covers.

Two Blue had been playing together for over a year when they decided to home record their first acoustic EP named Stained Soul after this things were looking up for the duo and they decided to put the EP on iTunes and recieved some good feedback, shortly after they got a booking at a local venue called Music Lounge when they were asked to play the support act to one of the biggest up and coming blues rock Guitarists in South Africa named Dan Patlansky. The performance went very well and they recieved a lot of good feedback and were asked back again at the end of the year to support another big name within the blues industry named Raoul Roux from the South African band Black Friday.
