The Black Cat Bones are one of the most outstanding live acts this country has ever seen, the main reason I fall in love with them over and over again is the gritty humanity in their songs. They write songs about issues that the working man can relate to and like those issues, the sounds are often rough, relentless and take no prisoners. Bands like this are few and far between nowadays.”
The Gauteng-based four-piece proudly admits to a somewhat out of the box approach to their new material. They are showcasing the natural evolution of their sound while retaining their core origins. The album also features celebrated guest artists Piet Botha and Albert Frost. There’s also a track featuring the honeyed voice of rising star Adelle Nqeto.
