It’s a meandering, fuzzy lil space in the far right end of New Orleans’ Bywater, where time doesn’t exactly move the way it’s supposed to. Freddie’s take on the Delta blues is as unique as the man, an almost meditative, hypnotic style of blues that shines through in this record. Opening with “Swamp Boogie”, as Freddie does, it immediately pulls you into the hot humid and sticky BJ’s barroom, well lubricated souls dancing and laughing.
From there it walks through the ups and downs of life on an irregular but certain path. He’s always been at his absolute best at BJ’s, the bar he’s called home for over 30 years. This recording captures it in the sort of remarkable detail that will take your breath away. /Louisiana Music Factory

Hi RR. I found a copy of this in 320 early last week. You don't happen to have a FLAC copy that you could upload do you?. (Although I suspect that if you did, you have uploaded it on this post)

Freddie is in the throes of recovering from a bicycle accident, and presently is incapable of playing the guitar or walking unassisted. He did make an appearance with his band at this year's Jazz Fest, but was only able to sing with other guitarists filling in on the instrument. Unknown if he will regain sufficient strength to return to full performing.
Did read about that accident of his just recently. We all have to keep our fingers crossed for his recovery.
