Since the late '70s and his days with the Allstars from Charlottesville, Doug Jay has been regarded as one of those fine young and innovative blues harmonica players. When he moved to Germany a couple of years ago, he brought tape boxes containing these fine recordings. This set will bring you a great variety of styles, from straight '50s Chicago style blues to rockin' r&b, some tex-mex, and even a cover of a Drifters song from 1956, "Why Do Fools Fall In Love". But most important: Doug's a fine player and at home on both, diatonic and chromatic harmonicas.
