"Premium Rockin' Blues", the nineth album by British blues rock legend Mick Clarke, is an impressive retrospective of his recorded work for Taxim between 1991 and 1995. On 14 tracks and 62 minutes guitarist/slide guitarist Clarke shines on powerful boogies, rolling shuffles, intriguing instrumentals, and emotional ballads as well as setting standards in what we say 'orgy in rhythm'. The critically acclaimed personality whose career started in the late 60's as a member of Killing Floor is still one of the hardest working musicians on the circuit playing at least 100 concerts per year on the continent alone. His role among the likes of Rory Gallagher, Gary Moore, Walter Trout, and Dave Hole is unchallenged. "Premim Rockin' Blues" contains all the classic hits from "Walking in the Dark" to the instrumental guitar hymn "New Star over Texas", a tribute to the late Stevie Ray Vaughan.
