Simply stated, this is real boogie blues. There are a lot of comparisons being made between the vocals of Preacher Boy and Tom Waits. As a long time Waits fan, I have to agree that the similarities are striking. However, those similarities cease at the vocal stage. The music put out by this band is pure party rockin blues. So, if you like gravel throat vocals and a good driving beat, look no further. This is a nice change from the traditional blues material being produced today.
