Result of years of playing together and a deep research, “Diggin’ the Blues” is the debut album of the acoustic duo made of by two of top Brazilian Blues players: Celso Salim and Rodrigo Mantovani.It contains interpretations of old Blues artists including Big Bill Broonzy, Blind Willie McTell, Muddy Waters, Willie Dixon, Blind Boy Fuller, Bo Carter, Josh White and a few originals songs too.
CELSO SALIM has 3 solo albums and during his career opened for B.B. King, worked with Larry McCray, participated in concerts of Magic Slim and Willie “Big Eyes” Smith and won the Independent Music Awards 2008 – Best Blues song “Big City Blues”.
RODRIGO MANTOVANI recorded albums with Lynwood Slim, Igor Prado Band and Nuno Mindelis. He also played with Blues artists like Junior Watson , Curtis Salgado, Rick Estrin, Mark Hummel, Steve Guyger, Deacon Jones, James Wheeler and Muddy Jr.

Hoje, em seu décimo quinto ano de carreira, o guitarrista coleciona frutos de seu talento e dedicação como: usufruto de uma bolsa de estudos para o estimado Musicians Institute ( Los Angeles); foi premiado no concurso International Music Awards(Best Blues Song 2009); apresentou-se na abertura do show de B.B.King; foi convidado pessoal de Magic Slim para participar de um de seus concertos; acompanhou o músico Larry McCray.; participou dos importantes Festivais de Jazz e Blues de Guaramiranga - CE, Rio das Ostras - RJ(com AB-4) e República Blues - DF, além de especiais para as TVs Cultura e Câmara.
