Founded in 1979, the City Blues Connection became a central band in the German blues scene and played a significant role in the development of the Hamburg blues scene of the 1980s. With several LPs, singles, radio and TV appearances, the band reached a high profile in the 1980s. With the LP "I Do Not Play No Rock'n'Roll" the band manifested their own blues style and sound. In 1985, the extraordinary production "World On Fire" was recorded together with Louisiana Red.
After only sporadic performances from the 1990s onwards, individual recording sessions took place from 2005 to 2013, two of which were released on the sampler BGD ROCK CITY.
