Frankie Lee Sims is not a well known bluesman but he should be better known than he is. He was a cousin of Lightnin' Hopkins and Johnny Winter featured a Frankie Lee Sims composition - She Likes To Boogie Real Low, a reworking of Louis Jordan's Blue Light Boogie - in his stage show for years. This CD would be a great introduction to Frankie Lee Sims for anyone not familiar with his music. It's about 36 minutes playing time and the sound is good. If you like Texas blues this CD is well worth your attention.
